TEM2U diesel locomotive
Shunting diesel locomotive TEM2U is a very famous locomotive that was made in the USSR.
The diesel locomotive is a standalone locomotive with an internal combustion engine; its energy is transmitted to the wheelset through a power transmission (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical). Being introduced in 1924 in the USSR the locomotive became a cost-effective replacement of obsolete inefficient steam locomotives. And at the same time these new diesel locomotives became a great addition for the electric locomotives.
This model is a very detailed copy of the TEM2U locomotive. In addition to this amazing diesel locomotive you will find a flat wagon where you can place anything you want! For example, here in Russia we use the TEM2U locomotives to transport space rockets to Baikonur Cosmodrome. Just imagine how cool these locomotives are! The most interesting elements of construction such as a wheel base and a propulsion section are carefully specified.
The TEM2U locomotive has HO scale and is compatible with the other UMBUM's rolling stocks and buildings in HO scale. As HO is the most popular scale of model railway in the world, we can tell that this model would be compatible with the other wagons and buildings as well.
The TEM2U locomotive is made of durable cardboard of 0.5 millimeters thick; it has double-sided full-color printing and embossing (note that embossing is a unique technology for cardboard models!). The model could be easily assembled without glue or scissors. It is provided with colorful language independent step-by-step instructions.
