Medieval castle (bourg) set
This set is a huge town surrounded by town (defensive) walls. It will take most of your gaming table space but it will allow you to play a really epic sieges and urban fights. Because all buildings are made separately and the design of the fortress wall allows you to bend it at any angle - the shape and plan of the city depends on your will. You can build a real medieval town with narrow streets where the small RPG-heroes party will battle way through thousands of enemies and horrible monsters. Or you can divide the table in half by town wall, so you can place all the buildings on one side and play a massive siege, for example, army to army. Whatever you want! As you can see you have really a lot of options with this set of terrain.
This kind of buildings dates from the 13th century or later and perfectly fits medieval, Modern Age (XVII-XIX) and World War I/II landscapes. It’s compatible with 28 or 25 mm miniatures of 1/56 and 1/48 scale. Please note that some buildings are also compatible with 15 mm miniatures of 1/72 scale.
You can place miniatures on the Defensive walls, on the upper platform of the gate, on the towers and inside the buildings (a part of the wall or a roof can be opened). Besides the miniatures you can also place war machines such as a cannon or a springal on the top of the Main gate and Barbican.
The set is made of durable cardboard of 1.5 millimeters thick; it has double-sided full-color printing and embossing. So you have no need to paint this terrain because it has nice and realistic exterior pictures and detailed interiors. Please note that almost every building has the stairs and doors but they are too small for miniatures (but the doors can still be opened).
Note that through the material of the models (cardboard) you can modify them or turn them to a ruined or a burned out buildings.
The models could be easily assembled without glue or scissors. Each model is provided with language independent step-by-step instructions.
Together with this set you also receive 151 flat cardboard miniatures (25 mm): different citizens, knights and even some animals such as horses and cows. In addition you will receive four models of glaive throwers (springals) with a stock of arrows; the models are functioning just like the real ones! Glaive throwers can be placed on towers or on a special mount in the middle of the upper platform of the Main gate.
