The Donjon set is a cross functional set of terrain buildings that includes two towers: a Donjon and a Barbican. You can use these towers separately as defensive installations according to the fortification rules of a certain game system or you can combine them and make a citadel of the castle.
This kind of buildings dates from the 13th century and perfectly fits medieval and Modern Age (XVII-XIX) landscapes. It’s compatible with 28 or 25 mm miniatures of 1/56 and 1/48 scale.
The upper platform of the Barbican is so big that you can place a cannon or a catapult with a crew. Also you can place miniatures inside the tower (gates or a hatch can be opened).
The Donjon and Barbican are made of durable cardboard of 1.5 millimeters thick; it has double-sided full-color printing and embossing. So you have no need to paint this terrain because it has nice and realistic exterior pictures and detailed interiors.
Note that through the material of the model (cardboard) you can modify it or turn it to a ruined or a burned out building.
The model could be easily assembled without glue or scissors. It is provided with step-by-step instructions (they are language independent and full of pictures).
Together with this set you also receive 13 flat cardboard miniatures (25 mm): knights, a few villagers, two cows, a cart and even a glaive thrower (springald)!
