Country buildings set
Country buildings set is the optimal choice when you just need to add a few more landscape elements on your game table. The set has three buildings which look good individually. One of the buildings is the Barbican on which you can place miniatures or even put war machines. You can use that building according to the fortification rules. A house with a bridge can be just placed on the game table as a separate building or you can place it over a river or ravine, creating a crossing through the impassable terrain. The Windmill on the hill is a great objective point for the encounter battle.
This kind of buildings dates from the 13th century and perfectly fits medieval, Modern Age (XVII-XIX) and World War II landscapes. It’s compatible with 28 or 25 mm miniatures of 1/56 and 1/48 scale. Please note that a house with a bridge is compatible also with 15 mm miniatures of 1/72 scale.
The set is made of durable cardboard of 1.5 millimeters thick; it has double-sided full-color printing and embossing. So you have no need to paint this terrain because it has nice and realistic exterior pictures and detailed interiors. There is a staircase that is leading to the balcony of the Windmill but, sadly, you cannot place miniatures on the stairs or on the balcony because these parts of the model are too small.
Note that through the material of the models (cardboard) you can modify them or turn them to a ruined or a burned out building.
The models could be easily assembled without glue or scissors. It is provided with step-by-step instructions (they are language independent and full of pictures).
Together with this kit you also receive 27 flat cardboard miniatures (25 mm): different knights and villagers.
