The Barbican is a tower with a huge upper platform and a small house attached to it. This is a perfect model for making a detached fortification on the castle's territory. In compilation with a Donjon (242) it can make a citadel of the castle! (As you can see this tower can be used as an impassable terrain that blocks a line of sight in different game systems.)
The upper platform of the tower is so big that you can place a cannon or a catapult with a crew. Also you can place miniatures inside the tower (gates or a hatch can be opened).
Note that through the material of the model (cardboard) you can modify it or turn it to a ruined or a burned out building.
The model could be easily assembled without glue or scissors. It is provided with step-by-step instructions (they are language independent and full of pictures).
Together with this kit you also receive 7 flat cardboard miniatures (25 mm) - 4 knights, a few villagers - and even a glaive thrower (springald)!
